Griffith Youth Advisory Group

A Youth Advisory Group (YAG) has been established to give young people in Griffith and villages a voice to address issues they feel are important and an opportunity to participate in developing activities to meet their needs.

The YAG meets regularly. It’s a great way to make new friends and ensure new things happen around Griffith.

If you are between 12-24 years of age and want to learn more about what the Griffith Youth Advisory Group and how you can get involved, contact Council's Youth Officer.

  • Council’s Youth Advisory Group (YAG) is set to bring a splash of colour and excitement to the community with Colours of Collina, a high-energy Colour Fun Run happening at Ted Scobie Oval on Saturday, 26 April 2025, from 11am to 3pm. This free, family-friendly event promises an explosion of fun as participants of all ages walk, jog or run a 1.1km loop, getting showered in vibrant, natural colour powder along the way. 

    Event Highlights: 

    • Live music by DJ Loui Allan to keep the energy high 

    • Free BBQ for all participants 

    • Participants are encouraged to wear white to make the colours stand out 

    • Prepare accordingly – bring sunglasses, sunscreen, water, a towel and a change of clothes 

    • Bring a picnic mat to relax on the oval after completing the course. • Breakout space – designed to provide a safe, inclusive and comfortable environment for participants with special needs and those from the LGBTQIA+ and CALD community, with the opportunity to express themselves through art. This welcoming space aims to ensure that everyone can enjoy the event fully and feel supported and respected.
