The Lake Wyangan Residential Housing Enabling Infrastructure Development will deliver essential civil infrastructure to support the development of around 500 additional homes in the Lake Wyangan area.
The full scope of works includes:
Several kilometres of stormwater drainage and associated earthworks
Installation of a new stormwater outfall pump
Realignment of Abattoir and Mallinson Roads
Construction of two new T-intersections at Boorga Road and Mallinson Road
Funding for this project was secured earlier this year through the Australian Government’s Housing Support Program, along with internal contributions from the Lake Wyangan Development Contribution Plan.
Lake Wyangan Residential Infrastructure Review of Environmental Factors (REF)
Council is upgrading existing infrastructure at Lake Wyangan to enable further residential development. Proposed works will include stormwater channel construction and enhancement, road realignment and construction of a detention basin.
The proposed activity is permitted without consent under State Environmental Planning Policy (Transport and Infrastructure) 2021 (TISEPP) (Clauses 2.109 and 2.137) and does not require development consent. As such, the impacts have been assessed under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (EP&A Act) with the factors listed in Clause 171 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021 (EP&A Regulation) taken into consideration.
The report to the right details a REF undertaken to assess the impacts of the proposal under Part 5 of the EP&A Act.
