Griffith City Council announces that the following name is proposed within the council boundaries.
Valentini Bridge – situated on Mackay Avenue Griffith near the intersection on Bridge Road and Macedone Road.
Locality: Griffith
Reason for Proposal: To honour the Valentini family who were pioneers of Griffith and owned a farm across the road since approximately 1937, now known as Battista Estate. Valentino (Val) Valentini passed away some years ago and was a lifetime member of Pioneer Park. Val and Josephine Valentini were involved in many charities helping people in need. Josephine still resides in Griffith.
